Dodgers looking to stop losing streak

After starting the season with a 9-7 win in Petit Rocher, The Dalhousie Dodgers have been having a hard time to find the win column. Losers of their last 4, the Dodgers have suffered losses in two of those games while having a five run lead. On Sunday this was the story as Dalhousie jumped to a 5-0 lead only to lose 7-6.

Though off to a slow start the team still believes they can pull things together by the end of the year.  In 2010 the team started off the season 1-7, which saw them finish the year capturing the Provincial “B” Silver medal in a losing effort to the  SNBBL Champions Saint John Petes.

One bright spot that came out of this week for the Dodgers was the news they will be hosting the Provincial “A” Intermediate Championship. With the hosting duties the Dodgers will receive an automatic bye into the tournament where they will face off against the winners of the Miramichi Valley Baseball League, The Southern New Brunswick Baseball League and the Restigouche Chaluer Baseball League.
The Dodgers next home game with be Friday July 6th at 8pm, as they take on the Bathurst Red Sox, weather permitting.
