Dodgers host Provincial Championship.
The Intermediate A provincial championships
will commence Friday September 7 @6pm in Dalhousie. Game one features a
grudge match between Host Dalhousie and recently crowned RCIBL champions
Bathurst. Dalhsousie also plays Grand falls at 9:30am Saturday and
closes the round robin with a game vs Saint John @ 4pm

Dalhousie takes game one of finals
The Dalhousie Dodgers took game one of their R.C.I.B.L finals Tuesday night with a 6-1 win. Andrew Carter pitched the Dodgers to the win with a four strikeout three hit performence.
Carter also lead the offense driving in the games first run. Kyle Parker and Mike Marcello also chipped in with two hits for the offense.
Game two of the series will go Wednesday night in Bathurst with game three back in Dalhousie Thursday night at 8 pm.

Dodgers up 2-0. Game 3 Tuesday Night

In game two
of the R.C.I.B.L semi final Sunday night, the Dalhousie Dodger defeated the
Beresford Aces 8-2. The game was highlighted by a solid pitching performance by
Andrew Carter going seven strong striking out eleven. Carter was also solid at
the plate collecting a double and triple with chipping in one RBI. Justin
MacCurdy also had a big night at the plate collecting a homer and two RBI’s.
Roger Hickey and Kyle Parker also contributed with two hits each.
Game three
of the series is set to go Tuesday at 8pm in Dalhousie with a chance for the
Dodgers to close out the series.

Dodgers take game one
In R.C.I.B.L playoff action The Dalhousie Dodgers took game one of their best of five series agianst the Beresford Aces by a score of 7-6.
Beresford came out strong in the first inning bring nine batters to the plate scoring five runs. Dalhousie eventually came back and tied it in fifth with an RBI single by Andrew Carter. With the game tied in the sixth inning Corey Parker hit a two run single to take the lead. Beresford scored one in the top of the seventh but it wasn't enough as Dalhousie picked up the comeback win.
Robbie Gillis got the win on the mound going seven inning. After a rough first Gillis settled down and allowed the opposition to only one run the next six.
Jeff Guitard, Roger Hickey and Kyle Parker also contributed key hits for the blue and white. Game two of the series will be Sunday night in Beresford at 8pm.

Dodgers win the Pennant !!
Another year
and another first place finish. That was the case Monday Night as the Dalhousie
Dodger defeated the Beresford Aces 11-1 to capture their Second Consecutive
R.C.I.B.L Regular Season Pennant.
The Dodgers
started the game trailing 1-0 until tying it up in the bottom of the second. In
the third Cory Zakrevsky would drive in what would become the games winning run
with a two run double. The Dodgers bats came alive after that as they scored seven
runs in a spam of five innings to stop the game in the fifth inning. Justin
MacCurdy, Andrew Carter, Mike Marcello and Roger Hickey all contributed key
hits for the squad with Serge Lebel pitching five innings allowing only one run
for the win.
With the win
the Dodgers clinched their second consecutive regular season championship
finishing one game ahead of Bathurst in the regular season standing. Coach Jason
Rae said, “It is a nice accomplishment for our ball squad. At the beginning of
the year people doubted the team because of the players we lost during the
offseason. Even with a slow start we were able to come together and gel at the
right time. Our focus now turns to the League championship”.
The Dodgers will
begin their playoff series Thursday night as they take on the Beresford Aces.
Game one of the best of five series will be at 8:00pm at Dodgers field in
Dalhousie, Weather permitting.

Dodgers win five straight with one game remaining.
Kyle Parker
picked up the win for the Dodger pitching four innings with Serge Lebel and
Andrew Carter coming in for relief. Andrew Carter had a day at the plate going
three for three with a Homerun. Mike Marcello and Kyle Parker also contributed
multiple hits.
The Dodgers
have one remaining home game left in the regular against Beresford. Beresford
is also in action Wednesday night as they take on the Bathurst Red Sox at home.
The game is significant as a Bathurst loss means Dalhousie clinches first place
overall.

Dodgers Win four Straight
With a 14-5 victory over The Beresford Aces Wednesday night the Dalhousie Dodgers extended their winning streak to four games. Robbie Gillis picked up the road with for the squad going seven strong collecting five strikeouts. Andrew Carter, Justin MacCurdy and Robbie Gillis were active in the hitting column contributing extra base hits.
The Dodgers return to action Friday nigh at home as they take on the Petit-Rocher Braves. With only two games left in the RCIBL season for the Dodgers this game is important as they fight for home field advantage in the playoffs.
